Congratulations to serveral RTU members who recently trained for and passed the rigoruous training and certification for the CERT . 
 
Several past and current members recently returned from the AUSA convention in Washington, where they gather information on many Army new and developing battle systems and training.  "This was an opportunity for me to learn about many recent developments in the Army's way of doing business.  As a reservist one must be ready at all times to answer the call to duty" Said LTC Jackson.

Reminder:  If you had not yet established your own personal AKO account, you need to do so.  This is the way the Army wants to communicate with its soldiers.  Plus, theres a lot of useful information and additional web links available through AKO.   You can register for your AKO login and password through the My 2xCitizen website at:

 

                                           https://www.2xcitizen.usar.army.mil.

 

After you receive your AKO login and password, you can then view your own personnel records electronically, to include your own retirement point account.  

FREE ASSISTANCE SERVICE:
 
The Army is offering free assistance to USAR, AGR, Natl Gd, AC, and spouses of these military groups. Retirees are not eligible for these services. The service is free and you can either call "24/7" or go online. Some of the things that they can help you with: Free short-term counseling sessions. (Not sure if the counseling sessions are available overseas.) Free assistance with dealing with a new baby, relationship issues, deployment/reunion, legal, depression/suicide, getting out of debt, buying a vehicle, dealing with an aging parent, etc. If your spouse cannot speak English very well, they have translators into over 140 languages.

community resources. Online articles, newsletters, and workshops. Free booklets and audio recordings. If you are in a TPU unit, you may want to put this in your newsletters.
